Team & Contributors

Loochoo Media is a project built by and with Indigenous communities, researchers, journalists, and supporters. In the interest of transparency, we share our project structure openly.

Leadership

Founder & Publisher

Loochoo Media was founded with the purpose of bringing Indigenous Ryukyuan perspectives and rights into the global media landscape. The founder holds final responsibility for the project's editorial standards, ethical framework, and Indigenous review process.

Founder details will be published as the project develops.

Governance

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board will consist of experts in Indigenous rights, international law, journalism ethics, and regional studies. The board supports the development of editorial policy and the maintenance of ethical standards.

The Advisory Board is currently in preparation. Members will be announced on this page when confirmed.

Oversight

Indigenous Review Council

The Indigenous Review Council reviews all content that touches on Indigenous cultures, knowledge systems, or community affairs. This process ensures that content is culturally appropriate and accurately reflects community perspectives.

Council members are drawn from Indigenous communities in Ryukyu and across the Asia-Pacific region. The council holds authority to set protocols around the handling of sensitive or sacred knowledge.

Indigenous Review Council members are currently being confirmed. Details will be published when available.

Contributors

Writers, Researchers & Translators

Loochoo Media works with Indigenous community members, independent researchers, journalists, and translators to produce content. All contributors work under the project's ethical guidelines and the CARE Data Principles.

Contributors receive appropriate attribution upon publication. Anonymous contributions may be accepted at editorial discretion when there are safety reasons for doing so.

A contributor list will be published as articles are released. If you are interested in contributing, please see our Collaborate page.
